    The Kettering Medical Center Culinary and Nutrition Care department is looking for a dependable, positive individual to join our team of retail and patient meal servers, baristas, cashiers, grill cooks, call center associates, and dishwashers.

    Responsibilities & Requirements

    The Culinary Associate II, Call Center Associate, role may include, but is not limited to:

    • Answering calls for patient room service menu orders
    • Entering patient room service meal orders into an electronic meal management system
    • Assisting patients and family members with the room service ordering process
    • Compiling, printing, interpreting and filing reports
    • Communicating with the nursing units and other members of the room service team
    • General cleaning and stocking
    • Promoting a positive, team-oriented environment

    Applicants must have:

    • High school diploma or GED
    • Basic computer knowledge and experience
    • Ability to sit for long periods of time
    • Ability to walk, stand and visit patients periodically
    • Ability to push and pull wheeled carts
    • Ability to tolerate frequent temperature changes working with and around equipment that generates heat, steam, and cold

     

    Preferred Qualifications

    - Data entry, foodservice and customer service experience
