Our Mission is to improve the quality of life of the people in the communities we serve through healthcare and education. We are dedicated to excellence and to providing each individual the most appropriate care in the most appropriate setting. In the spirit of Seventh-day Adventist healthcare ministry, we strive to be innovative and to convey God’s love in a caring environment.
The Middletown campus is designed and staffed to be a patient focused and team oriented environment. While positions have specific job descriptions which define functions and qualifications, the expectation at Middletown is that jobs not requiring specific licensure, certification, experience, or technical skills can be done by anyone at any time to meet a need.
Based on this, below are additional requirements for all staff working at the Middletown Campus:
The HUC/Registrar collaborates with unit leadership in coordinating the day to day activities of the patient care unit
This includes the processing of patient records and ongoing communication with nursing staff, physicians and interdepartmental personnel
The HUC/Registrar serves as a resource for physicians and other members of the health care team for the electronic medical record
The HUC/registrar facilitates the patient intake process by performing accurate data entry of patient demographic and insurance information for patients and reviews insurance benefits and upfront patient appropriate liability when required at each encounter to ensure accurate and complete billing
She/he plays an integral role in the patient care experience and both directly and indirectly impacts the perception of care
The HUC/Registrar reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager and Manager of Patient Access
