Kettering Physician Network employs more than 400 providers, including physicians and advanced practice providers, throughout the Greater-Dayton and Cincinnati areas. Offering an extensive range of specialties and expertise, our physicians provide comprehensive care at more than 120 locations.


An Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a provider of direct health care services who synthesizes and utilizes evidence based practice, research, and current clinical knowledge. The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary health care team. At Kettering Physician Network it is important that the APRN demonstrates an advanced level of medical and nursing knowledge including:

  • Clinical and technical competence
  • Sound clinical judgment
  • Professionalism as it relates to interpersonal and general communication skills
  • Timely and complete documentation
  • Responsibility for ongoing professional development and competency validation

The APRN role in partnership with supervising/collaborating physician team includes task such as:

  • Documentation of medical history
  • Clinical assessment
  • Physical examination
  • Order entry
  • Interpretation of diagnostic studies
  • Clinical diagnosis
  • Treatments
  • Evaluation of care for the given population   

This position is a 12 hour evening shift position schedule on a resource basis or as needed basis. This role focuses care on the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). 



Responsibilities & Requirements

Educational Requirements:

  • Masters Degree required - National Board Certification for Nurse Practitioners. Prescriptive privileges certification obtained or in process (must be completed within specified time frame).
